Real Wedding: Sarah and Doug

Today I have a lovely and bright Florida wedding to share! Sarah and Doug look like such a fun sweet couple and their wedding definitely reflects that! Some of my favorite details of the day are the hanging lanterns and flower vases. I am also crazy in love with this awesome tree they had at their site! If I haven't already voiced this, I am way overly enthused about beautiful trees! Gorgeous! And these photos by Binary Flips just top it all off!

Here are some details of the day described by her planner, Lori of Simply Divine Events in Tampa:
Sarah and Doug married June 4, 2010 at the Davis Islands Garden Club. They wanted a non-traditional wedding that was lots of fun and full of life! Sarah and Doug had many out-of-towners for their Florida Wedding, so they definitely wanted a festive atmosphere. They chose to have an all outdoor wedding with adding lots of color. Sarah's color scheme was turquoise and pink with pops of lime green.

As guests arrived for the ceremony, they entered down the flowered lined sidewalk, to where they were greeted with a glass of sangria, lemonade, or a bottle of beer to cool them off from the hot June day. (LOVE this idea!!) Guests also enjoyed taking their Polaroid pictures for Sarah and Doug's guest book as they waited for the ceremony to begin.

For dessert, Lauren with Catering By Design came up with the idea of serving the cake in a martini glass with ice cream! We incorporated this idea into a sundae bar- guests were able to pick their toppings for their cake and ice cream- everything from chocolate sprinkles, Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, Whipped Cream, and M&M's. (Yes please!) The guests loved it!!
