Fall is such a gorgeous time of year in the north, and this wedding pretty much has the perfect autumn wedding venue. The trees are so golden and picturesque! Not only is the place stunning, but this couple is pretty sweet too. They took a lot of thought into making sure their day was as eco-friendly as possible. This couple proves that you can help the earth a little and look fantastic doing it!
From the dapper groom, Owen:
Right from the beginning, we knew that having an environmentally conscious wedding was not just important, but essential. That's why Harrington Farm was the perfect location. They serve local, organic food and get energy from a nearby wind turbine. Our good friend Yvette runs a website dedicated to sustainable design, and she designed all our invitations and Save the Date cards, using recycled paper and the most environmentally friendly inks.
As usually happens, we ended up with more invitations than we needed. So Rebecca took the extras, and cleverly using some glue and an ink stamp, created our place cards! We reduced waste, and as an added bonus everything matched the color scheme.
Once all the important stuff was done, and the day finally arrived, we were finally ready to relax and celebrate. From day one, finding just the right band was at the top of our list. Soul Kitchen was perfect. They were upbeat and fun and kept everyone's feet moving all night long. Developed during many years of Thanksgiving preparations, the Milburys have a tradition of singing Motown into spatulas and cooking spoons. As a welcoming gift into the crazy family, Rebecca was presented with her own engraved spatula, and everyone stood and sang "My Girl" while the band played on. We couldn't have asked for a better ending!

Inspiration Board: Romance in Peach
While a lot of winter weddings are white and bright, I really love this soft and romantic take for winter. Some sweet peaches and creams paired with gold make the perfect whimsical winter combo. For centerpieces go with small and lush arrangements and ruffle lined table numbers. Add some literary charm with some book escort cards. Accents of velvet and gold give richness and depth to the whole feel. For the bridal look take on a lovely ruffled number like this Christos. Pair that with some bling glitter gold heels and a fun statement necklace and you are well on your way to winter whimsy perfection.

Inspiration Board: Autumn Gold
I've been in love with these warm gold hues for autumn. Fall is the perfect time for a rich and rustic wedding. Load your bouquet with a bounty of texture and color. Go with long family style tables covered in charming burlap and glowing candles. Keep the little one looking dapper with corduroy and a fun bow tie. Let your invites give a preview of the day with a beautiful botanical print. Then don't forget to freshen up your look with a simple and elegant dress with some bright sexy shoes.

Inspiration Board: A Rustic Afternoon Tea
Today is my 50th inspiration board! I've come a long way from the beginning and have really enjoyed creating these for you, as I hope you've enjoyed looking at them! For today's board, I wanted something a little rustic and totally chic, with a touch of vintage thrown in. Fall doesn't always have to be deep and rich colors, this palate is light and airy yet still feels autumn appropriate. I am so in love with this stunning centerpiece. It is natural and earthy, yet elegant all at the same time. I like the idea of doing this as a sweet afternoon tea wedding. Place an unique vintage tea cup as the place setting with cute name tags on the tea bags. Serve adorable mini desserts and of course a lovely cake for the finale. For the gown, I am swooning over this Lela Rose fresh off the runways. It is so effortless and beautiful!

Inspiration Board: Autumn Orchard
I love the idea of a beautiful orchard wedding for the fall! Take cues from the scenery for your color palate: warm reds, oranges, and golds. A lush bountiful bouquet really makes a statement, and this bouquet is the perfect fall arrangement. Lots of textures and colors keep the rustic feel while still being elegant. These little fruit menu pouches are just divine! Such a great way to incorporate your venue and is an easy and simple DIY project. Keep with the orchard theme by giving mini pies as favors. I love packing them in these sweet vintage boxes wrapped up with twine, such a cute gift! Go rich and natural with a chocolate buttercream cake. It looks just as gorgeous as fondant and your guests will love it so much more! Keep your look simple with this darling J. Crew gown and a charming gold necklace, and autumn never looked better!

Inspiration Board: Golden Wheat
We are now officially in fall! And I thought I'd ring in the season with a golden wheat inspiration board. A rich and rustic gold is one of my favorite colors for autumn! I think this oversized bow bouquet is the perfect fall arrangement. So natural and effortless. I love fall weddings with family style tables. Fall is all about warmth and comfort and arranging the tables this way makes everyone feel right at home! Plus, it is the perfect excuse to make these amazing hanging mason jar candelabras! These things are ingenious and can totally be DIYed if you or your guy are the crafty type. I also love an understated eleganance look for autumn brides. This J. Crew gown is so stylish and chic! Pair it with these fashionable Alexis Bittar earrings (that totally have an acorn vibe!) and you are set for one fabulous fall wedding.

Guest Post: Postcards and Pretties
Today we have the amazing and fabulous Chris from Postcards and Pretties. She to me is the queen of inspiration boards and I am so honored to have her sharing on the blog! I'll let her take it away!
Hi... I’m Chris from Postcards and Pretties and I’m so happy to be guest posting on Glamour & Grace while Megan is away.
Megan asked if I would share with you my process for creating boards...so here goes. Ever since I began blogging I look at the things in a different light ...I'm inspired by everything around me {I especially love it when non "weddingish" things make their way to my boards. One simple and single photo could be the key part of my inspiration board. Once I choose the image I determine what the color palette should be and the story or the details of that particular wedding.
For this summer wedding board, I wanted to use bright white as the main focus with sprinkles of bold and fresh colors mixed in...it's a great way to make the colors pop. Different colored rainbow dresses are a great way to allow your bridesmaids to choose not only their favorite color but also one that works well with their skin color too.

Inspiration Board: Just Peachy
I know summer is on its last leg, but I really couldn't resist a sweet peach summer board today! There is just something about peach and pink that is so refreshing and fun! I am crazy in love with this rustic centerpiece made with old wooden crates! It adds so much character and is perfection with some peaches thrown in. A new trend I am loving it the striped straw. Even the smallest of details can instantly add some whimsy and fun. And boy do I love this dahlia stenciled cake! Maybe because it reminds me a little of my own? No, it is super cute anyway! And there's no better time to pull out this fabulous Badgley Mischka shoe than a summery board! Pair those with this utterly elegant and soft Reem Acra and this summer is going to be just peachy!

Inspiration Board: Raspberry and Peach
Today's inspiration board started from this simple and elegant centerpiece designed by Franklin + Gower. I love the distressed pot and old books! And the colors are perfection! A rich raspberry paired with a soft peach creates such a sophisticated and sweet color palate. A beautiful wooden table with vintage china adds to the rustic chic feel. I am totally in love with this adorable "I will love you forever" hanger! What a easy DIY project to add a little charm! Also, these love knot marshmallows are just too cute! What a unique and fun favor! This Christos gown is amazing, just right for a stylish country celebration! And if you haven't seen Alexis Bittar's lucite jewelry yet, you must! Isn't this cuff just too fabulous?

Inspiration Board: Golden Peach
Light, airy and utterly classy, peach and gold is a fabulous combination! I love using these hues for a sophisticated dessert reception. Along with a fabulous cake, serve other delicious goodies like gold leafed macaroons and cool fresh sherbet. Add in an elegant and glam invitation like this peach chandelier by Wiley Valentine. I am completely smitten by this little white dress by Amsale! So adorably Audrey! It's the perfect dress for creating a sweet and chic soiree!

Inspiration Board: Tutti Fruity
There's nothing quite like a fresh and fun summer wedding! I'm really loving a citrus inspired theme for an outdoor summer celebration! I was truly inspired by this amazing four tiered wedding cake I found over on the Wedding Chicks! Such a cute idea layering in all of the fruit! The cake almost looks suspended in air hovering over those oranges. This invitation from Minted mimics the cake's look perfectly! It enhances the modern feel and really sets the tone for a fun event! Of course nothing makes an outdoor wedding merrier than delicious lemonades and punches! And I love this adorable trend of adding cute little flags and straws! Ban.do's cheerful corsages are great for moms and bridesmaids alike and will add a touch of whimsy to your wedding party. Finish the look with an enchanting gown like this new Reem Acra with dainty floral appliques!

Inspiration Board: Sophisticated Summer
For today's board I wanted to create something really light and airy, perfect for a summer wedding! I started with this stunning table setting by Martha Stewart Weddings. I love the idea of using several small flower vases to fill the table. This cake display by Rebecca Thuss is so unique and fresh! The fabric canopy creates a fabulous focal point! I'm loving peach details for summer and Lucky Luxe's Save the Date is complete perfection! For the gown, this Vera Wang is simple, yet striking! The soft flowy layers are so elegant! Roberto Cavalli's coral heart necklace is the perfect accessory! Top your look with a fun textured bouquet like this beauty from Style Me Pretty and you are set for a sophisticated summer soiree!

Inspiration Board: Bright and Modern
For today's inspiration board I wanted to create something really modern and fun! This bright color scheme of yellow, turquoise and orange is perfect for a summer bride looking to have some fun and really wow her guests!
I started with this really beautiful table setting by Martha. I fell in love with the simplicity and the unique color combination. The clean white square vases really let the texture of the carnations pop. From there I found these fun modern invitations created by Sarah Lenger. The amazing shoes from Marc by Marc Jacobs and the divine necklace by Elva Fields complete the package.
What do you think? Too bright of a color combo or does it work well with a sophisticated modern take?

Inspiration Board: Peachy Keen
Sorry for the short hiatus, but I am back and you can look forward to some fabulousness in the next week! Today I have a gorgeous peach and teal inspiration board for you!
This board is completely inspired by the soft romantic gown and photograph by Vanilla Pink. The colors seem like a strange combo, but they feel so etherial in this picture. The table scape shot by Elizabeth Messina adds whimsy with a vintage touch and the flower girl shot from Martha Stewart Weddings rounds it all out with a little flirty fun.
What do you think? Is the peach/teal color combination too strange or does it work in the right context?

Inspiration Board: Under the Tuscan Sun
You don't have to fly halfway across the world to have a Tuscan wedding! Just the right rustic elements (and of course some good wine!) can create a beautiful Italian inspired event!
I was really inspired by this simple chic table design from Martha Stewart Weddings. No flowers are needed with baskets of fresh tomatoes (which are also favors for guests to take home!) and long breadsticks for height. These warm colors are traditionally "fall" colors, but now days that rule doesn't apply. Any golden sunset would do, no matter the season!
I am also loving these cork votive holders from Plum Party. You can do a wedding in a vineyard, without going overboard with the wine details.
And I couldn't resist putting up a Vineyard gown! Enjoy!
